DAY 1 - ARRIVAL HO CHI MINH, VIETNAM
Today you’ll land in Tan Son Nhat Airport. Driver at the airport then transfers to the hotel for check in. Check in time is 14.00 (early check in is not included). Visit the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975, The Notre Dame cathedral, the General Post Office and the War Remnant Museum. In evening, you will enjoy Bui Vien Sreet Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh.
DAY 2 - CU CHI TUNNELS + HO CHI MINH CITY
Have breakfast at Hotel. 8.30: Pick you up at the hotel and depart to Cu Chi Tunnels. Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its role in the anti – American war resistance during the Vietnam war. It is legendary for its over 220 km underground tunnel system and is a popular tourist site for both Vietnamese and foreigners. Along the way to Cu Chi from Ho Chi Minh city, we will pass by the scenic local countryside, where you might even spot ducks and buffalo cooling off in the river. You will find it hard to imagine the destruction and damage that once dominated the area, caused by bombing and mines when Cu Chi was “a free target zone.” After the tunnels, we’ll stop for a lunch of local Vietnamese cuisine before heading back to Ho Chi Minh. Here, we’ll visit the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975, The Notre Dame cathedral, the General Post Office and the War Remnant Museum. 17.30: The tour finishes. DAY 3 - MEKONG DELTA TOUR
A smooth one-and-half-hour bus ride through rice field scenery along National Highway 1 brings you to the beautiful rural district of Trung Luong. On arrival at My Tho, after visiting Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely cruise on the Tien River to view the four beautiful islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. Boats pass by the fish rafts along the Tien River, overlooking the Rach Mieu Bridge. Stroll along the village road, visit the orchard and enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music" performed by locals. Riding a hand-rowed sampan through the Tan Thach canal. Then visit the coconut candy mill and take an amazing rowing boat trip along the small canal on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals. Enjoy lunch at the local restaurant; Then the motorboat will take you back to the cruise. Meet on the bus and return to Ho Chi Minh City. This trip provides a fascinating insight into daily life in the Mekong Delta, and you are guaranteed to take home your private collection of beautiful memories. Overnight stay at Ho Chi Minh.
DAY 4 - VUNG TAU TOUR
Have breakfast at Hotel. 07:30: Pick you up from the hotel and depart for Vung Tau. 09:00: Arrival at Vung Tau and leisure time at Thuy Van beach (Back beach) - one of the nicest beaches in Vietnam with the shore running for almost 10km, full with fine sands and white waves. Authentic Vietnamese lunch is served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon: Visit the Jesus Christ Statue, Thang Tam Temple (Whale Temple), Bach Dinh (a.k.a. Villa Blanche in French or White Palace in English), Cape Nghinh Phong. Taking a short break. 18.00: Back to Ho Chi Minh City and the end trip. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh. DAY 5 - PHNOM PENH ARRIVAL
On arrival at airport you will be met and transferred to the hotel by our local representative. After the short rest you will visit the impressive colourful Khmer-style Royal Palace Complex build in 1866 by the Predecessors of King Norodom. Nearby is Silver pagoda (the emerald Buddha temple), where contain plenty of Buddha Statues decorated and made by gold, diamond, gemstone and silver. We will stop at Independence Monument and explore the National Museum; a beautiful Khmer architecture building contains more than 5000 art antiques made by bronze, wood, gold, silver, copper, sandstone and others. We pass through the river-front park where 4 rivers met at a junction include mystical Mekong. Walk up to sacred hill Phnom Daun Penh – also the name of a pagoda and name of the capital nowadays. Last visit Central Market, a large market constructed in 1937 in the shape of a dome with four arms branching out into vast hallways with countless stalls of goods. Initial design and layouts are from French architect Louis Chauchon. Dinner at local restaurant (at your own account). Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh. DAY 6 - PHNOM PENH
This morning you will visit Choeung Ek museum, where between 1975 and 1978 about 17,000 men, women, children and infants detained and tortured at S-21 were transported for the extermination. We continue to Tuol Sleng prison now is Genocide Museum, the most secret part of the Khmer Rouge regime. It’s also called S-21 (abbreviated for Security Office 21), a Khmer Rouge's premier security camp, specifically designed for the interrogation and extermination of anti-Angkor elements. Leave the relics of the bad history of Cambodia we will have lunch (at your own cost) before going shopping around Russian market, enjoy the bustling daily activities of the locals. Last we will take a cruise to see the sunset on the Mekong and Tonle Sap River in the “Four Arms” section where the Mekong meets the Tonle Sap River before splitting into two branches. Dinner at local restaurant at your own account. Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.
